Workhouse Cottage has been carefully renovated from the remains of the old Badingham Workhouse and is maintained to a very high standard. With its rural location and secluded walled garden it is the perfect base for your holiday in Suffolk.
The coastal resorts of Aldeburgh, Southwold, Minsmere, Dunwich and Orford are a short drive away, together with the picturesque inland attractions of Snape, Framlingham and Woodbridge. Whatever your interest - walking, birdwatching, or just exploring, you will find plenty to do in the area.
There is an abundance of good pubs locally and excellent shopping facilities at Framlingham, Halesworth and Woodbridge. The village shops in Peasenhall, 3 miles away, are very convenient.
The cottage has a cosy sitting room with TV (with free sat), DVD, radio and CD player, and woodburning stove. A selection of books, CDS, DVDs, games and local maps are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine and small dishwasher and everything you could require for home cooking. There is a useful cloakroom downstairs with storage space for coats and shoes.
Upstairs the double and single bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished with a large separate dressing room with generous storage. The bathroom has a full sized bath with electric shower over and heated towel rails.
There is off road parking on the shingle drive and a covered patio with outdoor seating - perfect for relaxing at the end of the day.
Workhouse Cottage is non-smoking. We are sorry that we cannot accept children under 5 years and children between 5 and 10 years are by arrangement only. We do accept a small, well behaved dog by prior arrangement also.
