Homely, comfortable cottage With friendly, helpful hosts.

We were made most welcome and helped when we needed it.The surrounding area had plenty of places to explore or peaceful enough just to chill out.Lots of walks close by and central enough for beaches, rail trips and Snowdonia. We had a great holiday up in the mountains.

Excellent base

Stayed at The arfron from 31st aug-6th Sept, all previous reviews are true, this is a wonderful place to stay. Kathy & John are fantastic hosts welcoming on the Saturday & saying goodbye on the Thursday evening. We had the best weather you could expect for September, sunny & warm most days. The cottage is spacious for 2, might be a little cramped for 4 adults, 1 bedroom as bunk beds. There is plenty of storage space though & the kitchen is the best equipped we have stayed in. The lane leading to the cottage can be a bit daunting to some but its less than 1/2 mile long, the bonus being not much traffic takes this road so walking the dog is a treat, the views from the lanes are a treat. Excellent base for touring Snowdonia, most places can be reached within the hour, Betws-y-Coed, Capel Curig,Llangollen,Llandudno & many others. The Ponty Pair hotel in Betws-y-Coed does good beer & pub grub as does the Swallow Falls hotel. Will definitely be returning soon.
