We arrived 3 hours early for check in, had a quick look at what we'd booked for the week and boy were we not disappointed. The wife had booked this place whilst I was working nights and was wondering what she'd booked for us, I need not have worried, in fact I had to take my hat off to her and compliment her on such an excellent choice. 3 hours later after a quick visit to the Village of St. Maybn and a bite to eat in the local Pub ( St. Maybn Inn, which I can highly recommend ) we checked in to our home for the week. Gobsmacked is the only way I can describe this little Gem that the wife had found. Beautiful surroundings, excellent decor and retro furniture, the beds were a dream to sleep in and the Farmers Cockerills even waited till about 7am before making any noise, the horses in the field at the bottom of the garden soon became our friends as did the neighbours little dog, Polly, who spent many an evening with us as we relaxed around the firepit in the garden. The Cottage itself was a delight to stay in and if I were to return to Cornwall again would definitely book this place again. The whole family enjoyed this holiday with so many places of interest to visit and beaches to chill out on. Lands End was a 60 mile drive but we broke that up by visiting Waterfront Bay (not really the best of beaches we visited) and the on the way back popped in to Penzance for something to eat (the pub near Lands End had stopped doing food at 3pm otherwise we'd have eaten there) Cornwall is such a lovely place and would rate this as one of my best holidays.
