A happy holiday at Hayes Court Cottage

We booked a week's stay at Hayes Court Cottage for my husband, grown-up daughter and myself. When we arrived the cottage was very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. The kitchen has plenty of equipment, which was useful as we enjoy cooking. There is also a dishwasher. The dual-aspect dining room was nicely furnished and there were plenty of glasses, plates etc. The comfy lounge had Sky TV, DVD and plenty of books and games. There was a handy loo downstairs which also houses the washer/dryer. There is a large family bathroom with a shower over. The twin room was brightly decorated as was the master bedroom which also had a bathroom with loo and 2 choices of shower! There is a patio where we were able to sit and watch birds, rabbits and squirrels. It is a short walk to the village where there is a butcher, 2 convenience stores, pharmacy and post office. There are 4 pubs within walking distance. The food is lovely at the Royal Oak which has a garden too. We were also able sit outside in the pretty garden at The Plough. There is a good bus service up to early evening to nearby Cheltenham and Winchcombe. We enjoyed a 3.5 mile around the village, a 5.5 mile walk over Cleeve Hill to Winchcombe, where we were lucky enough to catch and old diesel train back to nearby Cheltenham Race Course on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. We also had walk to Cheltenham and back.

Fabulous place

We stayed here for the weekend of the paddy power open. It's a smashing cottage, it has everything you need, really surprised as to how nice this place is, set in beautiful grounds and would be lovely in the summer. Fantastic ensuite off the main bedroom, really modern, lovely comfortable bed, the cottage has all mod cons, very welcoming and comfortable, absolutely lovely and perfect for the races, took us a slow half an hour to walk but beats driving or taxis. I hope we will be able to book this again for our best trip to Cheltenham. It has some terrific pubs and restaurants in prestbury, the Royal Oak is fantastic.

Perfect in every way

Booked over Christmas and was amazed at the lovely peaceful location.Easy to get around the Cotswolds and near some National Trust Gardens . The interior was very comfortable and spacious . We were able to keep cosy and slept really well while at the cottage. Highly recommended..
