Off the beaten track

When we arrived we received a lovely and personal welcome from one of the owners and a super "Welcome" pack. There were many caring extra thoughts around the cottage such that the holiday was off to a good start from minute one. Very dog friendly and had the great convenience of two showers/WC facilities. The 'upside down' arrangement with downstairs bedrooms and toilet facilities works extremely well. The cottage is remote yet convenient for Dunbar and North Berwick for shopping needs. Walks along the coastal pathway are pleasant as long as the weather is good - we were fortunate and blessed with warm weather. If you don't want to get away from everything, the cottage has a very good broadband facility but mobile phone cover is variable.

A great, very wel fitted cottage with a superb view

Just off the A1, the cottage is located in a quiet setting and has a great view on the coastline. The owners are really friendly and left us a welcome package with some basic groceries. Nearly everthing you could think of is available, from barbecue to beach shelter. For everyone who enjoys nature and quiet.

lovely cottage with scenic water views.

the cottage is located in a tranquil area and has great views of the ocean from the upstairs area. On arrival we were given a basket of goodies and a welcoming card. The owner Margaret who was very friendly and helpful was there to greet us and show us around the cottage. the cottage was very clean and fully equipped with everything you needed. It is a great place to relax and go for walks to the cove and surrounding areas. I recommend visiting the seabird sanctuary which was very interesting.

The Tack Room is an amazing place to stay, with sea views from the windows in the lounge and some bedrooms. It is furnished and decorated to the highest standards with everything you could possibly need. The owners have worked very hard to make out stay as enjoyable as possible, starting with a very thoughtful welcome basket of food, bread, eggs, butter, jam, dog treats & wine. The kitchen has everything you need, even tea, coffee and any type of pan, tray etc. The views of the sea are stunning & the location is great for visiting lots of different sites, including Edinburgh, which is only 30 mins away. Highly recommend staying at the Tack House.
