A group of 7 of us (3 adults and 4 children under 10) all stayed at Seaspray during February half term. Actually this was our second visit but the cottage wasn't yet on Tripadvisor to write a review. All I can say is that the cottage is perfect. It is beautifully decorated, contemporary but with a very coastal cottage feel. Spotlessly clean, warm, spacious and well kitted out with everything you could possible need. It also has a wonderful sea view and is located right across the road from the sea. Portknockie is a peaceful village with a lovely harbour and lots of good walks, caves and beaches to explore. There is also a local Spar that is open til 8pm most nights or the Cullen Co-Op is just a couple of minutes drive away. I have to mention the beds! - all of the beds were comfortable ,the bedlinen was soft and clean and it was an absolutely joy to get into bed at the end of the day. Even though the weather was lovely, it was still cold so we spent a lot of time indoors enjoying this cosy cottage with the wood burning fire roaring! We will definitely be back again shortly. Simply perfect and we all have a fantastic time..
What a fantastic job the owners have made in renovating this cottage! It is absolutely beautiful and spotless. Beds are very comfy and cottage is warm. The kitchen is huge and definitely has the wow factor. 5 adults and 2 children stayed during our visit and there is plenty of room for all. We have stayed in many cottages in portknokie and this one gets 5 stars!,, We will be back again.
This is an outstanding cottage with wonderful charm and character, a real home from home. It is set in a picturesque location, in a coastal fishing village, on the Moray firth. The cottage is spacious, full of character and wonderfully decorated. It has everything you could possibly need! Clean, cosy and with some lovely personal touches, including a book containing information about the history of the cottage - fascinating - an old fisherman's cottage transformed into a contemporary coastal holiday home. The cottage has beautiful views out to sea. Portknockie harbour is quaint and peaceful, and Bow Fiddle Rock is just a few minutes walk from the house. This offered us incredible views and wonderful photo opportunities. We'd recommend getting up early to watch the sunrise behind Bow Fiddle - absolutely stunning! The Moray Coast Trail is a stones throw away and runs for 50 miles along the coast; perfect for cycling, running or walking along. We loved seeing seals from Portessie Bay, Ospreys from the top of the Bin of Cullen and we're looking forward to coming back to see the dolphins! We thoroughly recommend a holiday here!
Stayed at seaspray recently with my family 5 adults in all, the cottage was spacious even for 5 adults. It had been recently renovated and was beautifully done, the down stairs bedroom with en suite was perfect for my parents. I especially liked being able to sit in the kitchen and eat as a family, being a bit if a cook the kitchen had everything we needed and more, some rentals you go to you struggle to find a bottle opener! The village was lovely quite small but has a shop and chippy both very nice. I would suggest you hire a car to explore the area as it is well worth it. Over all I cannot recommend this any more it was ideal for us.
A beautiful and comfortable cottage furnished and decorated to a very high standard, the huge kitchen/diner was a superb area for the family to enjoy their meals together . The large bathroom downstairs and the ensuite in the downstairs bedroom great for a big family, there is also a toilet upstairs . The underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathrooms was a joy in the morning . The owners have put their own personal touch to the cottage and have catered for all your needs . The beds are very comfortable and I had the best nights sleep for a long time. We will certainly recommend this cottage to our friends and family .
The cottage is very comfortable and the arrangement of bedrooms and bathrooms really suits a larger family group. The cottage is very well equipped and its situation above the harbour and near Cullen beach is great for families with children.
