Lovely peaceful pet friendly break. Would definitely return

Stayed at Yellow gates cottage for a short break last month. Lovely cosy cottage with one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in away from home. great wifi which was a bonus. Only downside which I must admit is slightly picky of me was the small leather sofa suite in the living room (2 small armchairs and a small 2 seat sofa) in which I struggled to get comfortable unless i had the 2 seat sofa, having said this it would not prevent me from returning to the cottage . All mod cons and very well equipped kitchen (washing machine, dryer and dishwasher inc.) in which I had all the intentions of cooking, however we were tempted to eat out on more than a couple of occasions at the Railway Inn which served up good food, hospitality and accepted dogs. The beach (on your doorstep) was a bit messy due to the recent storms but this was to be expected, take short walk further down the road when the tide was out and you had a great stretch of beach for walking. Tip: the bus stop at the end of the road has details of local footpaths which we did not find until our last day. New abbey is a lovely place to visit with an excellent coffee shop. If peace and tranquillity you are after in a lovely cottage I would not hesitate to recommend yellow gates cottage.
