Quotes from our most recent guests:

19th May 2007  " Enchanting and magical. Our best anniversary - ever!     We'll be back... Thank you Carole and Roger."

27th-30th May 2007. "Absolutely lost for words to describe this unique and amazing place. It's like another world!  It has rained non stop since we arrived but with a roaring fire, a settee each and this magical place we hardly noticed! We stumbled on this place purely by chance but we will most certainly be back. Truly enchanting."

Church Street in Long Bennington is a peaceful haven away from the centre of this popular village. Its many ammenities include three pub/restaurants, three shops, post office, take away and a very designer coffee shop/gallery.

But come down the long leafy drive and lose yourselves in one and a half acres of natural gardens, full of birds and wildlife.

The Oriental Brewhouse is an original Elizabethan Lincolnshire long house, next to the imposing stone Georgian house noted by TV and magazine appearances featuring the unusual interior. They are both soon to be licenced to hold civil wedding ceremonies. Could be your honeymoon night!

Enter your flower filled conservatory complete with zebra curtains and antique purple sofa, Mind your head as you go through the ancient door into the old hall sitting room. Eight by five and a half metres, and the  lofty oak beamed ceiling goes right up into the apex of the roof.

An intricately carved paduok wood screen covers one wall. It was brought back from Karachi and installed  by the Edwardian explorer and mystic writer Sir Frances Younghusband. It inspired the artist owners to continue the oriental theme with  touch of "Baronial splendour" and oodles of exotica.

An elaborate wood burning stove sits in the inglenook fireplace, with a welcome basket of logs.

The 42" plasma TV with Freeview, DVD and video try to camourflage themselves on a Chinese laquer cabinet.

A pretty French chandelier illuminates the dining table set for four with gilded red Spanish Mogul chairs and a gold lace table cloth.

Climb the Victorian spiral staircase to the romantic bedroom and luxuriate in the goosedown duvet, feather pillows and embroidered bed linen. Velux windows set amidst the beams give you a breath of fresh air.

A secret door in the screen takes you into the Indian styled designer built kitchen, with a Victorian sink. There is a  ceramic hob, oven/grill, microwave, toaster and kettle. The fridge has a freezer compartment. And naturally there are Indian embroidered wall hangings!

The ground floor shower room also has its original decorated Victorian hand basin.

Feel free to wander the gardens and find a secluded spot to lounge in the sunshine and listen to the birds.
