The Old Stables have been converted from buildings dating back to the pre-1800's and still retain many of their original features and charms, but also now provide all the comforts expected from quality holiday accommodation.

There are five cottages sleeping between 2 and 8 people. They are all attractively decorated and have quality furnishings throughout.
Most of the cottages display the original exposed beams in the upstairs open plan lounges with kitchens adjoining. In these cottages the bedrooms and bathroom are situated on the ground floor.
One cottage which has two bedrooms and its own enclosed garden has its bedrooms and bathroom upstairs, and lounge, kitchen and a second toilet downstairs.
All kitchens are fully equipped and have microwaves, fridge/freezers, washer/dryers, electric ovens and four ring gas hobs.
All cottages have double glazing and central heating.
Gas, electric, all linen, duvets and towels are included in the price.

For children there is a large play area with a selection of swings, a slide, trampoline, play house, tyre swing and tractor as well as various sit-upon toys.
There are also some pygmy goats who welcome any attention.
For sunny days and warm summer evenings there is a barbecue area (gas barbecues provided) and picnic tables.
Alternatively you may wish to stroll along the stream which runs through the 80 acres of private farmland adjoining the cottages.

The Old Stables are conveniently situated at the gateway to Devon and the Westcountry and make an ideal base for touring the whole of this lovely area.
Exmouth with its long sandy beach is only 10 minutes away, alternatively you can explore the little seaside towns and beaches at Branscombe and Beer amongst others.
Inland there is the City of Exeter with its magnificent Cathedral and historic Guildhall.
Dartmoor is a vast area of green, broken by rocky tors, where relics of the bronze age as well as settlement sites and stone circles can still be seen.
There are a number of family activities in the area including Crealy Adventure Park (5 minutes away), Bicton Park and Gradens, Paignton Zoo and many others.

The Old Stables provide evereything you will need for a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
