The Holmes Barn offers self catering accommodation for up to 17 guests, it is part of family run business, surrounded by approx 10 acres of its own grounds.
The Barn has been completely redeveloped to the highest standards to assure maximum comfort for guests throughout their stay. The accommodation is joined to the family home which is a traditional Derbyshire Stone Long House and briefly comprises of large ground floor open plan design lounge and down stairs cloakroom, kitchen and dining area. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms and two "Jack & Jill"bathrooms.
Your stay with us includes all electricity, heating oil, bedding, duvets, bathroom towels and tea towels, the barn is centrally heated throughout and this is controlled by the guests. The Holmes Barn is fully equipped with crockery and cutlery. There is a free standing all electric range style cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave oven. A seperate drying room is available with washing machine. In the living area there is a colour TV with DVD/video, also CD player, wireless internet access available with own laptop (no fees applicable). There are ground floor sleeping facilities if require incorporating a private area with a bed settee, room for clothes storage and access to the downstairs cloakroom. The four bedrooms are made of various sleeping arrangements comprising single beds, adult bunk beds and pull out guests beds to provide a double. Bedrooms 1 and 2 share one bathroom, bedrooms 3 and 4 share one bathroom. The shared bathrooms ar fully tiled and have quadrant shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. All bedrooms have wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets, a cot and high chair are available on request.
There is ample parking near the property and secure storage is available for wet weather gear and boots. There is also storage large enough for bikes.
There are ample opportunities for eating out and buying provisions within short car driving distance, or to make your stay with us even easier order with Tesco direct shopping and have it delived straight to The Holmes Barn for the day of your arrival.
Why not bring your horse on holiday? There are full, part or DIY livery facilities available on site. We are situared in an ideal location for you to explore the Trans Pennine Bridleway. Pets are welcome provided they are house trained, well behaved and guests must provide suitable bedding, feed bowls etc. Dogs must not be left unattended or allowed on the furnishings.
