The Cottage at Henmarsh House is situated on a private lane in Barton-on-the-Heath close to the famous Cotswold market town of Moreton-in-Marsh and to Stow-on-the-Wold. The village of Barton is gloriously unspoilt and from the garden and some rooms there are fantastic views over the adjoining rolling countryside. The property is situated adjacent to a bridlepath so if you like walking you literally open the gate and go ..... (well behaved dogs are very welcome). This cosy cottage was converted from a barn approximately 15 years ago and has plenty of character features including beams, open stonework and a fireplace with wood burning stove. It is very well furnished and equipped with a large well fitted kitchen/dining room (inc washer/dryer); an attractive sitting room (tv with Freeview/video/dvd/radio/cd player) with double doors opening onto a sun terrace with table and chairs, and a private garden. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor with en-suite shower room and upstairs a spacious landing leads to another double bedroom with double bed and a further single bed, and a luxury family bathroom. A cot and high chair is provided and babysitting can be usually be arranged. The towns of Cheltenham, Oxford and Warwick are all within easy reach offering theatre, music, horse racing, good eating and excellent shopping. There are excellent sporting facilities close by with places to ride, fish or play golf and the walking - both in the immediate vicinity and further afield, is excellent. Nearby are a number of notable gardens including Hidcote Manor and Batsford Arboretum. Day to day provisions can be purchased from the local shop whilst a wide range of shops and restaurants is to be found in Moreton (about 5 minutes drive). There are several excellent local pubs just over a mile away which serve good food. We have endeavoured to equip the cottage to provide everything which can reasonably be hoped for in a home away from home including books, games and a selection of videos. Please note: the kitchen/sitting room, one bedroom and shower room are on the ground floor but there is one step from kitchen to sitting room.
