The Chestnuts is an outstanding, traditional , yet chic Cotswold cottage. It has many outstanding features such as flagstone floors, a stone stairway, beamed ceilings and large inglenook fire place. However, it also has every modern comfort that will make your stay really relaxing including a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, together with CD, Video and DVD players and televisions upstairs and downstairs. The cottage sleeps six in the luxury double bedroom upstairs, one with  a large ensuite bathroom, there are additional sleeping facilities for four further guests in the two lounges on double sofa beds.

Set in the very heart of Shilton, from the kitchen dinning room you can see across the adjoing horse paddock on to the duck pond and ford beyond. The secluded garden is well established and there are numerous places to sit and relax.  The Chestnuts is lucky to have some of the best views in all the village.

The cottage is conveniently only a few seconds walk from the 16th century Rose and Crown freehouse which serves a variety of local and national beers and terrific food. Just 3 miles away is the picture postcard town of Burford with lots of restaurants, cafes, inns and shops.
