The Granary is simply the perfect country cottage in Wales for those wanting to escape. Tucked away from it all, with dreamlike views across 30 miles of unspoilt landscape in North Wales, the cottage feels more like coming home than staying in a holiday cottage. On its own plot, well away from the owner\'s other cottage, and with private land and parking, this rustic retreat is insulated from any noise from roads or surroundings. Refurbished to a very high standard, this self-catering cottage has been awarded 5 stars from the Wales tourist board. It offers an excellent base for a couple wishing to explore the Snowdonia National Park and the abundance of attractions on offer in North Wales; Chester, Llangollen, Ruthin, Harlech, Snowdonia, Betws-y-Coed and Anglesey are all within easy reach. There are glorious walks from your front door - amongst them the Bronzed Aged hill fort (which is visible from the bedroom window), the Pilgrims Way and a selection of footpaths of varying lengths. Such is the quiet and seclusion, you\'ll hardly see a single person on these walks. The cottage is equipped with its own lake where you can swim, paddle or kayak. At the diving jetty the lake is 12 feet deep. 15 minutes drive away is the town of Bala which offers endless activities such as white water rafting, swimming, fishing, sailing, wind-surfing, canoeing, riding, mountain biking and the lakeside narrow gauge steam railway. There are plenty of shops and supermarkets and some good restaurants, pubs and takeaways, if you fancy a night off from self-catering. Less than 10 minutes drive is the friendly pub/restaurant, The Goat. 1 double with kingsized bed Sleeps: 2 (+ baby) Bathrooms: 1 - walk-in shower/wet room. Pure spring water comes straight from the tap so there\'s no need to buy any! A separate laundry room with washer and dryer is available in the barn, and outside also has a log and coal store where you can help yourself.
