A traditional stone cottage set in the quiet village of Penmachno, 4 miles from Betws-Y-Coed and within Snowdonia National Park. It is an ideal base for walking or touring and is in close proximity to several canoeing rivers. In addition a new mountain bike track has opened just outside of the village. The village is nestled in the Machno valley with lovely walks and scenery centred around the village and the River Machno. The famous Machno falls are just a few miles away. The village has a pub and all other amenities are provided in nearby Betws-Y-Coed.

Betws-Y-Coed is one if the main tourist centres in Snowdonia National Park.  It is host to many shops, restaurants and cafes. Betws-y-Coed is only a short drive to Llanberis and the start of the ascent up Mount Snowdon. For those wanting an easier ascent one can always consider the Snowdon Mountain Railway. If a lowland holiday is more your scene, the seaside resort of LLandudno is around 30 minutes away with its large bay, speedboat rides, wealth of shops and cable car or railway up the Great Orme. Whatever the weather, there is always something to do in Snowdonia National Park, whether it be visiting the Slate Mines at Blaenau Ffestiniog, canoeing on Lake Bala or simply enjoying the stunning scenery.

The cottage itself is very spacious with a large lounge/diner complete with 2 sofas, inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove.

There are three bedrooms - one double, one twin and one downstairs single. There is also a sofabed in the lounge suitable for one adult or two children.
The bathroom is newly fitted with a shower and there are sinks in both of the upstairs bedrooms. A cot and highchair are also provided.

The cottage is completed with a television, DVD player, games, books and local guides.

The newly fitted kitchen is complete with dishwasher and washer/dryer.

The garden has lovely views of the village and surrounding countryside. It has several patios and a lawned area but is of uneven terrain. There is a park close by.

One or two well behaved dogs are welcome. Please ask for details.

All linen and towels are provided together with the first basket of logs.
