In March the Aldeburgh Music Easter Festival brings energy and inspiration to the area whilst May sees the Felixstowe Historic Vehicle Rally and the illustrious Suffolk Show. Moving into the summer months June brings the Ipswich Arts Festival, July the East of England Tennis Tournament and the British Open Crabbing Championships finishes of the summer events in August. Whilst all of these festivals are taking place you could also take a trip to Newmarket racecourse with meetings being held between the months of April to October.

For one of the better known villages Lavenham was one of the wealthiest towns in England in historic times, and still has a historic market square and old half timbered buildings which attracts scores of visitors.
