Our cottage was recently featured in the June edition of the home magazine 'House Beautiful'
Stow on the Wold lies within the heart of the Cotswolds area and demonstrates outstanding natural beauty. It is the highest town in the Cotswolds at about 800ft above sea level. The Cotswolds wool town is situated just besides the Roman Fosseway set on a rounded hill giving it the Iron Age meaning of 'meeting on the hill'
The Town has many interesting places to see with most of the buildings being listed due to their individual historical & architectural importance.
Stow has the advantage of having many places to from which to dine, whether it is a traditional English breakfast, brunch or evening meal. There are also many traditional English pubs with one claiming to be the oldest Inn in England!
There are plenty of unusual shops(especially Antiques)where you can buy or browse at your leisure. The people of Stow are well known as being friendly and helpful
The Town is also equipped with a supermarket and chemist as well as the local chemist and butchers.
There are so many beautiful villages nearby, too many to mention but all within a short drive (or maybe a long walk)
Bath. Warwick and Stratford Upon Avon are all within a short drive away.
Entering the centrally heated cottage via a large porch(great for boots & coats) you come into the cottage kitchen, fully fitted containing high quality appliances including fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing maching/tumble dryer microwave & much more.
Through into the lounge/dining room you will find a large log burner as well as 2 large comfy sofas, a plasma wall Tv, DVD player, cd player, plenty of books, games and DVDs for your use at your leisure.
The intimate dining area has been furnished to a very high standard to include sold oak/painted furniture. The ceiling is beamed and features modern lighting which you may control according to your mood.
The large luxury bathroom is located on the ground floor and incoporates a separate shower cubicle with a large chrome head & constant hot water for that perfect shower as well as bath, WC & hand basin
On the first and second floors you will find the 2 large double bedrooms (one of which can accomodate the extra bed if required) Both bedrooms are fully furnished with top of the range beds and linen. There is a hairdryer in both rooms.
A highchair and cot is available if required.
The garden faces south and is equipped with patio table/umberella and BBQ.
There is off road parking for one car as well as parking
