Pilmuir, a former coach inn, located in the Cairngorm National Park, has recently undergone extensive refurbishment and modernisation and features a sizeable living area with spectacular panoramic views over the Cairngorm mountains, a modern traditional kitchen with range cooker and four bedrooms accommodating up to eight people. The property is in very good condition. The views dominate the spacious rooms of the house making it hard not to sit in bed or the window seats and watch the sun set whilst the wood burning stove roars.  For those with young family there is a high chair, cot, steriliser etc for your use. Set in about an acre of ground there is a secure paddock for horses or play area for children, ample parking, ski and bike storage and mature trees, home to a red squirrel. Red deer, ospreys and eagles can often be seen from the house. Walk out the back door and you can cross a wooden bridge at the back of the garden/paddock and walk up through the local forrests to Carr Bridge  - a good 6-7mile walk with fantastic views.  If you are into horse riding you can ride this route and there are great places to explore including trees to climb. The location of Pilmuir is excellent for a variety of activities including hill walking, cycling, golfing and riding along with tourist attractions in the Park such as Strathspey Steam Railway (1mile away), the Cairngorms, Landmark Forest Theme Park, (4miles away) Distilleries and Aviemore. The Boat of Garten is within walking and cycling distance with post office, shops, hotel and restaurants. Directions The house is easily accessible by car, rail or air with Inverness only a thirty minute drive, Edinburgh or Glasgow two and half hours away or Aberdeen a two hour drive, making Pilmuir the ideal weekend or holiday stay. To get to Pilmuir from the South of Scotland head north up the A9 towards Inverness and turn off at Aviemore.  The Boat of Garten is 7miles from Aviemore. Form the east coast of Scotland head towards Grantown on Spey - 35miles from Elgin and Inverness.  Once in the village follow signs for Aviemore and you'll find you are only 7miles from Pilmuir.
