Venture down a leafy country lane & over an ancient stone bridge to find Penyrallt Fach, a Grade 2 listed Victorian former Piggery, now a delightful and comfortable cottage on a traditional Welsh organic dairy farm. The cottage has great character, with exposed beams, fine wood-lined ceilings and wood floors. Much of the furniture has been made by the owners using timber harvested from the woods on the farm. The main room is an open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room with a large farmhouse table with seating for four, a comfortable sofa and easy chairs and a very efficient wood-burning stove. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker with ceramic hob, micro-wave oven, refridgerator and all necessary utensils, cooking equipment, cutlery, crockery & glass. Tea-towels are supplied. On arrival guests will find a small complimentary welcome basket, a home-baked cake & fresh flowers from the garden on the table. The comfortable sitting-room is an ideal place to relax in front of the wood-burning stove, after long walks in the hills or days on the beach. As well as TV, DVD player & digital radio with iPod dock, there is an extensive selection of DVDs, books & board-games provided. The two bedrooms are simply and attractively furnished; the main bedroom has a double bed with a king-sized goose-down duvet & Welsh tapestry counterpane. In the smaller twin-bed room, the beds have been built echoing the style of old -fashioned Welsh cupboard beds giving the room a quirky, quaint feel which is loved by children of all ages. The twin beds are supplied with organic wool duvets. The beds have two pillows per person, with all bedlinen supplied, as well as lovely Welsh wool blankets. There is an electric heater in the double bedroom & an electric blanket on the bed. Hot water bottles are provided. The bathroom is simple & functional with a bath (complete with yellow rubber ducks!) with hand-held shower, lavatory, wash-basin, washing-machine & heated towel-rail. All towels are supplied. The water supply for the farm & the cottage comes from the pure natural springs at the top of the farm. All fuel & electricity is included in the rental. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at a charge of £10 per dog (max. 2 dogs). The farm is a member of the Soil Association Open Farm Network and visitors are welcome to request a full guided tour of the farm, free of charge, giving them a opportunity to see a real working farm, or to take walks along the marked footpaths around the farm. West Wales

Spend your next vacation in a West Wales holiday cottage and come home sun kissed and salt soaked! The west of Wales, encompassing the regions of Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, and Carmarthenshire.
