Two non-smoking and pet free cottages between St. Davids and Fishguard in the hamlet of Penparc, on the St. Davids Peninsula, close to the centre of the best stretch of the Pembrokeshire coast north east of St Davids. Our cottages are situated within the protected Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. There are extensive sea views from the good sized garden laid almost exclusively to lawn, and in particular stunning views of the cliffs around Strumble Head. The 6 person cottage, graded the maximum 5 Star, is extremely spacious, has one bathroom (full sized bath with excellent shower over), one en-suite shower room and a third toilet room. The kitchen is fully equipped as you would expect of a cottage of this quality. Off the main hallway is a large living room (with television, video , CD stereo system and DVD player). There is an open log burning fire, a mixture of leather and fabric furnishings and again off this room is an extremely light and airy dining room which is open to the rafters , with attractive dining table seating up to ten people (in case any visitors drop by!). This room has patio doors opening onto a large decking / patio, which has ample outdoor seating if you fancy eating al fresco!. Off this room is the ground floor bedroom, again very light airy and indeed spacious with en-suite and king size bed
Upstairs are two bedrooms, one a double and one a twin both comfortably furnished with good quality bed linen and beds There is a small glass porch to the side of the property The adjoining two person cottage is all on one level, this cottage having achieved a grading in the top half of 4 star; The living room is spacious and open to the rafters, and has patio windows giving this cottage also a light and airy feel. The bedroom has a double bed in it, the bathroom benefits from a full sized bath with shower over and the kitchen/diner, with new units, cupboards, worktop this year, is well equipped. All furniture beds, (with extra thick mattresses on all beds) bedding and furnishings in both cottages are of the highest quality and tastefully appointed. One mile down a quite country lane from our cottages and hamlet is the acclaimed village of Trefin, situated on cliff-tops between the famous harbours of Porthgain and beautiful Abercastle. Trefin has its own cove on the edge of the village at Aberflin, which is surrounded on three sides by rugged cliffs. Trefin is quite a bustling village with a post office, pub, an artist’s gallery, a more general craft shop, and a couple of tea shops. Just a few hundred yards along the coast south of the famed harbour of Porthgain (a much visited port with famous pub, excellent restaurant artists studios and much more) is a wonderful sandy National trust beach Traethllyfn Beyond that (but still less than 3 miles away is the beach of Aberreidy, porbably the most painted scene in Wales. Also only a short distance north of our local village, Trefin, is the superb small harbour of Abercastle. Then in either direction on the coast are some wonderful beaches, coves and harbours, all connected by the famous Coast Path. The cottages are also well placed for amenities, A pub and a petrol station with an amazingyly high quality and well stocked grocery store are just 350 yards away. There are a substantial number of pubs within 6 miles, quite a number of restaurants, and needless to say numerous tea shops within a similar distance.
