Padstow is also well known for its Obby Oss Festival which takes place on the 1st May each year celebrating the coming of Summer, in which an open air concerts is performed on the bandstand next to the sea port.
If it is the waterfront life you are after there are seven sandy bay beaches within a ten minutes journey, including Constantine Bay and connected Booby’s Bay, Harlyn Bay and Padstow Bay, most of which are tremendous for surfing, swimming, rock pooling and have life guard cover in the busy summer months.

Looe is a great place to take a holiday cottage, it has lovely sandy beaches ideal for sandcastle competitions or just to relax and watch the day go by. There are a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs. Look out for the dolphins that can sometimes be spotted in the bay.
