Old Smithy Cottage comfortably sleeps 2 but can accommodate up to 3 people.
The Old Smithy is a charming, traditional country cottage set in an acre of lawned gardens. It has recently been renovated to a very high standard.
Personally maintained and cleaned by the owners you are assured of a very comfortable stay. We are sure you will be delighted with the standard of accommodation.
Beds are made up for guests arrival, and bed linen and towels are included at no extra charge.
The Old Smithy sleeps 2 people in a very comfortable double bed in the spacious bedroom, with room for cot if required (free loan).
The cottage is in a peaceful and tranquil private setting at the end of an unadopted road, adjoining the owners cottage, on the outskirts of the village of Pensilva. Nestling on the edge of Bodmin moor, with views of the hills and countryside.
The village is well served with its own large shop, post office, bus service, church and pub. All within easy walking distance from the cottage.
There is an excellent choice of local inns only a short drive away from the cottage, most serving real ale and good local food, details of which can be found in our information pack accompanying our booking form.
Ideally situated for touring the north and south coasts of Cornwall and Devon.
Bodmin moor is close by and is extremely popular with walkers. The area is packed with mining heritage and mythical stone circles and standing stones.
The area also offers a range of golf courses, diving and sailing schools, cycling or walking the south west coastal path.
The many other areas of Cornwall, such as its heritage, historic houses and gardens, the rugged coastlines and scenic beauty are all within easy reach.

Fishing at Sibleyback lake.

The lounge/diner. Comfortably furnished with 3 seater settee and armchair, dining table and chairs. Colour tv with freeview, video recorder and dvd player. Large selection of dvds, videos, books and games. Double aspect windows overlooking the gardens.
Fully equipped kitchen area with full size electric cooker and grill. Fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, sandwich toaster, kettle and cafetiere. Gas central heating boiler providing hot water and radiators.
Upstairs to spacious double bedroom with full size extremely comfortable double bed. Ample wardrobe and drawer space. Views of the countryside.
Separate shower room with 'Mira' shower, wc and wash hand basin. Electric shaving point. Shelving with ample towels.
Outside there is a large private garden to the side of the cottage for guests use.
Approx 4 miles from the market town of Liskeard, South West Cornwall.

Cheque
There is a very small step into the front door of the cottage. The bedroom is on the first floor up a normal flight of stairs which have a hand rail. There is a downstairs wc.
Typically suitable for a person with sufficient mobility to climb a flight of steps but would benefit from fixtures and fittings to aid balance.
