Five miles from Barnstaple and twenty minutes from the coast, Lower Hearson is an ideal base for exploring North Devon with lots of attractions for both children and adults within easy reach. Well behaved dogs are also welcome.

Riding stables, fishing lakes, golf and a number of tourist attractions are all close at hand, and it's only a little further to Lynton, Lynmouth and Exmoor. Our nearest beaches are Croyde Bay, Putsborough Sands, Woolacombe and the well-known surfing beach Saunton Sands with its golden dunes. We are also only a short drive from the beautiful village of Mortehoe.

Within the grounds we have an outdoor covered, heated swimming pool, a children's play area, sandpit, trampoline and a games room with table football, pool, table tennis, darts and more for anyone who has energy left when you get back from the day's activities. A hot meal can be provided for you to eat on the day of your arrival. This is made from fresh local produce, is Gluten Free and is available from September to April (excluding Christmas and New Year). This must be arranged with us at least one week prior to your arrival.
