Keswick, is situated in the North Lakes and is a great place to stay in a self catering holiday cottage and is a thriving tourist spot all year round, nestled on the banks of lake Derwentwater and surrounded by breath taking countryside and fells.
It is a haven for casual walkers and ramblers and has been since Victorian days, it is famous for its beautiful fells like Cat Bells, Helvellyn and Skiddaw. For the less experience walker, you can take a walk from your holiday cottage doorstep around the stunning lake and should your limbs get tired, then you can hop on a pleasure cruiser from one of the many landing bay and sail back to Keswick.
