The town of St. Ives takes its name from a young missionary lady, St La, who legend says had floated from Ireland on a leaf!

In nearby Marazion you will find a small island called St Michaels Mount which you can travel to by ferry or by foot, dependant on the high tide. Owned by the National trust, it offers lovely gardens, harbour and a castle dating back to medieval times.
Every September this pretty village comes alive with an arts and music festival which people travel World wide to attend.
