Charlestown
The harbour village of Charlestown was a Georgian 'new town', a port development planned by local landowner Charles Rashleigh (after whom it was named) and built between 1790 and 1810 for the export of copper and china clay. A "working" 18th century port, a favourite location with film makers around the world. Square rigged sailing ships often in the harbour together with an excellent visitor centre.

Mevagissey
A typically quaint Cornish fishing village which has an inner and outer harbour from which the fishing industry still operates.

Gorran Haven
Small picturesque 13th-century village with a safe, sandy beach 3 miles south west of Mevagissey. The village sits in the lee of the spectacular 400-ft high Dodman Point which has traces of an Iron Age fort.
