Special Offers/Late Availability: Enjoy Autumn in the Western Lake District at our cosy cottage for two with king size bed and real fire. Available from Saturday 23rd October at £270 per week or short breaks at £170 for 3 nights plus £25 per extra night.

The cottage is part of a group of listed buildings surrounded by fields and organic gardens.

We try to keep our impact on the environment as low as possible with high levels of insulation, recycling facilities, a large drying green, eco-friendly cleaning products and low energy lights where appropriate.

The lounge/ kitchen opens onto a private garden with outdoor furniture, organic herb bed and uninterrupted views West across rolling countryside. It has a solid fuel stove with a glass front to enjoy the fire, two leather reclining armchairs, coffee tables and digital colour TV with DVD player.

There are fitted units with electric hob, fan oven, grill, washing machine, dishwasher, sink with a good view, microwave, fridge/freezer and a table with two leather dining chairs. The cottage is well equipped with pans, sharp knives and chopping boards, cafetiere, storage boxes, casseroles and utensils.

Tea, coffee, sugar and a pint of milk will be waiting for you ready to make a drink right away.
Electric heating throughout.

Cot and highchair available on request.


The entrance on the East side is from a cobbled yard with private parking for one car by the door. We also provide secure storage for bikes in our adjacent barn.

One dog is welcome but must be kept downstairs.

There are good walks in The National Park directly from the property. This is a great base for exploring the Western Lakes of Ennerdale, Loweswater, Crummock and Buttermere as well as the Solway coast.

The bedroom is spacious with a king size bed, two armchairs, coffee tables & two windows facing West with lovely rural views. The en-suite bathroom has an electric shower over the bath, a toilet, basin, heated towel rail & airing cupboard. Cot available.
