Are you ready for some peace and tranquillity in a superbly equipped, luxurious, detached house with stunning views in the beautiful Eskdale Valley? Somewhere you can wander through bluebell woods, watch lambs gambolling in the fields, swim in the crystal clear waters of the River Esk, sit and dream beside sparkling waterfalls, climb England's highest mountains, play golf on what must be the prettiest course in England, watch buzzards soar overhead, observe deer, foxes and badgers at dawn or dusk, listen to the owls hooting, experience the valley ablaze with autumn colours, and return to relax in front of cheerful log fires, have a sing-song round the piano or share a meal with family and friends around the impressive dining room table.
FACILITIES
KITCHEN - Equipped with 2 full gas cookers; 2 microwaves; 2 dishwashers; 2 coffee makers; 2 toasters; 2 kettles; food processer; large fridge; chest freezer; washing machine; tumble dryer; ample crockery, cutlery etc.
DINING ROOM - Table is 14 feet long and 4 feet wide so very comfortably seats 16 people. There is also a piano, full music system, tv. and video. This room has a working marble fireplace.
HALLWAY - Has the payphone
LOUNGE - Very comfortable 4 seater couches with some extra footstools; tv., video and dvd player; another working marble fireplace.
FIRST FLOOR - 1 single bedroom; 2 double en-suites with king size beds; 1 triple bedroom; bathroom and seperate wc.
SECOND FLOOR - 1 double bedroom; 3 twin-bedded rooms; shower room and bathroom.
All the bedrooms except the single have washbasins.
A small border garden surrounds the house on two sides, the third side has a patio with garden furniture.
There is parking for up to 10 cars behind the house.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
The village of Boot is a five minute walk from the house. Here you will find 2 excellent pubs, both serving bar meals and restaurant meals; a shop/post office and a gift shop. There are three other pubs in the valley.
The "L'aal Ratty" - Eskdale to Ravenglass steam railway terminates a ten minute walk from the house at Dalegarth Station. Here you will also find another gift shop and licensed cafe.
In the village of Eskdale Green approx. 3 miles away there is another village shop/outdoor shop. Here also is a lovely walk through the Japenese Garden.
Muncaster Castle, with its World Owl Centre, famous gardens and haunted castle is a 20 minute drive away.
2 nearby golf courses - Eskdale and Seascale.
The quaint coastal village of Ravenglass with its lovely walks along the beach and sand dunes is a 20 minute drive or a train ride on L'aal Ratty.
For cycling enthusiasts bicycles can be hired from Dalegarth Station, 10 minute walk from the house.

SEPTEMBER ~ Eskdale Show is held on the last Saturday in September. This is a
traditional Lakeland show with the emphasis on the Herdwick sheep and the way of life of Lake District country people.
