The medieval old town boasts the fairy tale Castle which sits high up on volcanic rock overlooking the city, with panoramic views of the city; here you will also find the Royal miles with its nook and crannies, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament and other tourist attractions.

The new town has elegant Georgian buildings, narrow streets, terraces and squares with a large variety of boutique shops, eateries and chic drinking spots to suit all tastes.

In the suburbs of the city you will find the medieval port, where the Royal Yacht Britannia is docked, allowing visitors to come on board and see how the Royals lived on this stunning ship. The suburbs are also home to the Royal Botanic Gardens and Zoo.

Edinburgh Dungeons, a day of fun for the family. The dungeons tell the story of 500 years of Edinburgh’s darkest and most frightening history including 11 actor shows and 2 scary rides.

National Museum of Scotland, offers an interactive day for the family. You will see treasures from around the world and discover the story of Scotland from prehistory to present day.

Visiting Edinburgh Zoo will be a day to remember, view a wide selection of animals. See the penguin parade and the new pandas. Walk round the beautiful gardens and see the varied tree collection. The Zoo is set in 82 acres of sloping park and is located 3 miles from the city centre.

Peebles is situated in the beautiful Tweed Valley amongst the imposing Scottish hills. The heart of Peebles is a shopping street with great shops, pubs and restaurants.
