Derbyshire Cottages

Derbyshire is located right in the heart of England making it an ideal cottage holiday location for visitors from across the country. Covering more than 200 square miles it encompasses the southern end of the Pennine Chain known by the name of 'the backbone of England' and is surrounded by the regions of Yorkshire and Lancashire as well as Leicestershire and Staffordshire. The area has a number of national parks each with stunning scenery and old, inspiring woodlands. The best known and loved of these national parks is the Peak District which was the first national park in Britain dating back to 1951 and sitting between Manchester and Sheffield. Many of our cottages in Derbyshire are well located to take advantage of the Peak District National Park and all it has to offer. The Peak District actually falls across a number of counties the vast majority of its features such as caves, rivers, tors and waterfalls lie within Derbyshire, so it has the greatest claim to this stunning and popular holiday area.
