A true home-from-home, this property is a warm and comfy base from which to explore this stunningly beautiful part of the Western Highlands of Scotland.

Caber Faidh has recently undergone refurbishment and is fully equipped with everything you need for modern-day living but set in an unspoiled "get away from it all" environment.

The house has stripped wooden floors throughout and large windows allowing light to flood in.

The Living Room has a wood burning stove (wood provided), squashy sofas and a large flat screen television with basic Sky channels, DVD and video players with a selection of films. The Dining Room seats eight and has a radio/CD player, again with CDs. The kitchen looks out to the rear garden andis fully equipped with electric cooker, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave and there is a tumble dryer and freezer situated in the back-door lobby area. The downstairs bathroom has a full-sized bath with shower.

Upstairs the Master Bedroom looks out to the front over the countryside and has a king-size bed with a double sofa bed (made up if required).

Bedroom 2 is a twin room with a double sofa bed and views out over the unspoiled countryside.

Bedroom 3 has bunk beds plus a pull-out trundle bed should it be needed. 

The house stands alone in an enclosed garden surrounded by typical Scottish scenery and within walking distance of Kentra Bay.

Ardnamurchan is a natural and unspoilt wilderness providing habitat for a diverse range of flora and fauna including deer, pine marten, hedgehogs, butterflies, otters, eagles, dolphins, whales and seals; irises, primroses, rhododendrons, ancient oak woods and mosses and lichens. Despite being a remote and unfrequented corner of Scotland,  the peninsula provides plenty to do and see. Just a brief taster of what's on offer: cycling, walks, hiking, climb mountains (Ben Nevis is within reach), golfing, sailing and yachting, fishing (sea and coarse), wildlife boat cruises to hunt for whales and dolphins, visit the isles of Mull, Staffa (for Fingal's cave) or the Treshnish Isle to see the puffins; visit white sandy beaches, particularly Sanna, the lighthouse at Ardnamurchan Point, the most westerly tip of the UK mainland, where you can see the engine room and the keeper's cottage; visit the ruin of Mingary Castle or the volcanic crater or just enjoy the natural beauty of the place and the sunset.
