The Romans constructed a spectacular temple and bathing area in the heart of this city with a natural hot water spring, which was a sacred worship site and from which the city was named after. This complex is well preserved and gives the tourist a chance to walk along the ancient stone pathways around the bathing area and watch and hear tales from Roman days. Relax and rest your feet whilst take afternoon tea in the famous pump room.

Walk over the Pulteney Bridge and view the array of shops constructed into the bridge structure designed by Robert Adams which joins the centre of Bath to the other side of the Avon river.

For the visitor who enjoys retail therapy, then Bath has a large selection of independent shops, galleries and eateries. Alternatively spend the afternoon in the museum or take a stroll or cycle ride along the river Avon which sweeps through the city centre.

The famous beauty spot of Cheddar Gorge holds intriguing stories of our prehistoric past and is a caving and rock climbing centre. Visitors will be amazed by the stalagmites and Stalatites, take a guided tour and experience the caves coming to life through your audio guide.

Dryham Park a beautiful 17th century stately home, which is just a short distance from Bath. Explore the stylish gardens and be inspired by the Dutch interior of the house.
