Aspenwood is a luxury modern self catering holiday cottage overlooking Loch Ness in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. Aspenwood cottage has been equipped to a high standard and the owners personally maintain the property and look forward to welcoming all guests on arrival. All rooms are on one level. Double glazing and oil fired central heating ensures it stays warm and cosy throughout the year. Sleeps 5 comfortably.
Master bedroom with king bed and ensuite double shower. Twin room and a single bedroom. All bedrooms have flat screen digital TV, radio, lamps and ample wardrobe space. Separate bathroom with bath/shower/wc/washbasin.

A generous fully-equipped open plan kitchen/dining area with Neff electric oven & hob, Panasonic microwave, Miele fridge-freezer and integrated dishwasher. The room has 3 large windows each offering splendid views of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle on the opposite shore.

Spacious, comfortable lounge with new three-piece suite, latest 37" plasma flat screen Digital TV with HDD unit/DVD.  CD  player with a wide selection of music for guests to enjoy. A computer with Broadband access is freely available for guests to use. An extensive library of books and magazines encompassing fiction, information, various aspects of Scotland as well as a variety of maps, local literature, books of Walks and Day Trips by Car. 

The cottage has a private decking accessed from the master bedroom and lounge which offers panoramic views over Loch Ness and the mountains opposite. Garden and decking furniture provided. Separate laundry room outside housing the washing machine, tumble dryer and boiler, ideal for drying wet clothes when you are unable to use the rotary washing line in the garden area.

The open plan garden area surrounding the cottage is unfenced and therefore very attractive to the local wildlife – deer, red squirrels, pheasants, badgers, pine martens to name a few. . The bird table is visited throughout the day. Binoculars are provided. All bed linen and electricity is included in the rental tariff. We welcome 2 well behaved dogs

Location

Aspenwood is situated on the south side of Loch Ness. It is 16 miles from the city of Inverness on the east coast, capital of the Highlands and a similar distance from the busy village of Fort Augustus situated at the western end of the loch.The cottage is set in the beautiful secluded scenic Farigaig forest with walks from your doorstep.A short stroll down to one of the few beaches opening out onto Loch Ness.
