There are three main beaches in this area, Warren, Porth and Porth Ceriad. You will find secluded sandy bays ideal for relaxing and soaking up the sun with high sheltered cliffs, most of this coastline is owned by the National Trust. Just a short walk from the town you can stretch your legs on the coastal paths, or make the most of the golf and fishing. The surrounding Welsh countryside is steeped in history and offers wonderful days out touring the attractions.

It can be a very busy area in peak season due to various regattas and festivals. The town centre is a hive of activity during the day and night with many restaurants, tourist shops and pubs.

Bardsey Island, enjoy a boat trip with the family, view the local wildlife and amazing scenery. Enjoy the islands history including tales of smugglers and ship wrecks

Anglesey Sea Zoo, an enjoyable day for the family in all weathers. The zoo let you experience the variety of life in the sea, breeding and release programs.

Oriel Plas Glyn Weddw, a fantastic gothic mansion which was once the home to Lady Love Jones Parry and now houses her art collection and others. Look out for the ghost of Lady Love Jones Parry, which can sometimes be seen walking the landings!

Dwyfor Ranch Rabbit Farm and Animal park in llanystumdwy. A chance to handle and feed a large selection of animals, under adult supervision, including rabbits, pigmy goats, pigs and lambs.

Pen Llyn Riding Centre, whether you are an experience rider of novice, then this is a fun day out. Enjoy riding along the quiet country lanes, trekking up mountains and viewing glorious countryside. They also offer private lessons, so you are able to brush up on you riding.

Enjoy a morning or afternoon on Abersoch 18 hole golf course, then relax and enjoy the club facilities.

The busy harbour town of Porthmadog with lots of individual shops and a selection of places to eat is a great place to explore the Snowdonia National park, coastlines and experience a day out on the Ffestiniog railway. Surrounded by mountains and the Glaslyn estuary, you will be stunned by the beautiful countryside, whilst holidaying here.

Criccieth is a small attractive town ideal for a short break or family holiday in a cottage, the medieval castle which dominates the town. It has two beaches with all the amenities close at hand for an ideal family outing, building sand castles and relaxing. You are spoilt for choice with plenty of bistro, restaurants and public house to choose from when eating out.

The coastal village of Llanbedrog is a good base for exploring this part of North Wales. When staying in a self catering cottage in this area, the beach and National Park are on your doorstep, offering various walks, sailing and fishing. The beach is owned by the National Trust and part of it is dog friendly. You will find a small selection of shops and pubs in the village.

Harlech, is situated in a superb position between the mountains and the sea, this small town with it 13th century castle offers a good amount of shops and restaurants. The beaches of Cardigan bay and the National Park are very close by.
